Polk County Sherriff's Office deputies maintain order and security within the Polk County Courthouse. They are responsible for bailiff services, which include overseeing court proceedings, ensuring all participants follow courtroom proceedings and safeguarding judge and jury.
Deputies manage inmate transfers, securely transporting individuals between the courthouse and the Polk County Detention Center.
Deputies also encompass overall courthouse security by conducting security screenings and responding to any incidents to ensure a safe environment for all who enter the courthouse.
Courtroom rules include but not limited to:
No weapons, Vapes or Lighters
Courthouse employees and Sheriff's Deputies are not allowed to hold personal belongings while you are in court.
No phones or bags are allowed in Superior Court. Please dress appropriately for court.
Handicapped parking is located behind the courthouse.

Volunteer with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Court Division. Volunteers will work on Monday and Wednesday assisting with courthouse security.
Volunteers must be 18 years and older, and must be able to pass a background check.
